The Plaintiff’s First Amended Complaint alleges breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and conversion claims arising out of a roofing project in Hawaii. Plaintiff is an Ohio corporation that supplies roofing materials to construction projects. Defendants Beachside Roofing, L.L.C. (“Beachside”) and A-1 Master Roofing, Inc. (“A-1”) are both located in Hawaii. Both are authorized Soprema roofing contractors per written agreements with Soprema.

Under these agreements, Soprema inspected and approved the installation work performed by A-1 and Beachside. Upon the completion of construction, Queens’ Market LLC (“Queens’ Market“) experienced catastrophic leaks on ten of its buildings. The leaks were caused by improper installation of the Soprema product.
In response to Plaintiff’s complaint, Defendants Beachside and A-1 filed a Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Personal Jurisdiction and a Motion to Transfer Venue (ECF# 5 and ECF# 13). The Court denied both Motions. This matter is currently awaiting a trial date. A-1 and Beachside will be required to depose their expert witnesses and to make full disclosure of the facts and evidence that they intend to present at trial.
